Anchor Bay's ABT1010 video scaling chip - featuring proprietary Video Reference Series (VRS) Precision Video Scaling technology - has been chosen by Yamaha for use in its new RX-V2700 HDMI-enabled AV receiver. Yamaha's RX-V2700 is a mid-class, 7.1-channel AV digital home theatre receiver that provides consumers with an unprecedented number of entertainment options.

The RX-V2700 features an Ethernet connection, enabling consumers to access Internet radio stations, music files stored on a PC, and the company's premier MusicCast audio system server (MCX-2000).
It is compatible with the Apple iPod, via an optional docking station (YDS-10), and allows playback of XM Satellite Radio's standard and XM HD surround content.
The RX-V2700 is capable of HDMI, 1080p signal pass-through, and up-converting analogue composite, S-video, and component signals to HDMI output, with a time base corrector that stabilises the video signal.

Powered by Anchor Bay's ABT1010 scaling engine, the RX-V2700 up-scales to HD resolutions of 720p and 1080i.
