Amino Technologies has established an independent business, IntAct Software, to license its IntAct software solutions
Amino's advanced software stack for IPTV set-top boxes is to be combined with the Philips Nexperia PNX8550 home entertainment engine to be ported to the STB810 semiconductor reference and development platform for set top boxes. The integration of Amino's software will create a ready to use set-top box blueprint for manufacturers, ideal for the rapidly growing IPTV market.
The combined platform will allow set-top box manufacturers to bypass much of the software research and development and enable them to launch reliable, high-performance products in a minimum period of time.
Amino's software enables the creation of a comprehensive and highly flexible IP set-top box platform, capable of supporting a wide range of IPTV middleware and conditional access solutions - ensuring that set-top box manufacturers can focus on their core strengths of product design and value engineering, and can address the widest array of market requirements.
The open software platform also allows third-party application software to be ported to add new features for IPTV service providers.
