WMV9 extends the reach of broadband TV
Amino Communications has introduced its first IPTV set-top box to offer compatibility with high definition TV (HDTV) and Microsoft's Windows Media 9 (WMV9) low-bitrate codec
The AmiNET120 enables telcos to offer TV services to homes further afield, via DSL networks, and also enables a more realistic and involving viewing experience. WMV9 extends the reach of broadband television to more homes and networks by reducing the bandwidth required to transmit high quality digital video content.
