The AMP Netconnect UTP 24-port PCB-mounted IDC patch panel further enhances the company's offering for Category 6 UTP network cabling systems.

The AMP Netconnect UTP 24-port PCB-mounted IDC patch panel further enhances the company's offering for Category 6 UTP network cabling systems, and features the latest innovations in connecting hardware technology.

The high performance of this new patch panel is achieved by using new and enhanced connector components, including the PCB-mounted modular RJ45 jack and enhanced 110 connecting block.

Both these products have been designed to meet the new component compliance requirements of the EIA/TIA 568B.2-1 standard.

These panels not only fulfil the Class E link and channel performance requirements, but also exceed the more stringent de-embedded testing requirements of EIA/TIA 568B.2-1.

In order for components to be recognised as Category 6 compliant, they must be tested and pass with a range of high-end, middle and low-end de-embedded test plugs.

The use of this range of plugs to determine the component specification ensures that backwards compatibility and interoperability requirements will be met.
