Internix takes Alcatel into Japan
Alcatel and Internix have signed an agreement for the distribution of Alcatel's microelectronic components in Japan.

Internix will provide sales and technical services in support of Alcatel's xDSL and Bluetooth products.
Fujisawa, president and CEO of Internix, says: "Alcatel is the number one in ADSL chipsets worldwide.
We are very pleased to add their microelectronics product line to our current portfolio.
Both ADSL and Bluetooth business are getting very hot in Japan.
With the addition of the Alcatel products, we can expect the synergy effect with other lines and increase our sales dramatically".
Internix is planning to sell $16 million-worth of Alcatel devices including ADSL and Bluetooth chipsets in 2002.
Christian Olivier, Alcatel's Vice President Sales for the microelectronic solutions, stated: "The Internix model of highly experienced field application engineering support and top-quality logistics will provide Alcatel's Japanese customers with the quality-of-service level they require.
I am confident that Internix has the infrastructure and systems knowledge to generate the design wins Alcatel needs if we are to achieve our ambitious growth targets.
The deal definitely reinforces Alcatel's microelectronics strategy to provide Japanese customers with optimal support in terms of standard products", Olivier said.
