Acquisition expands scope of RF instruments

This presence will provide Actix with market access to the rapidly growing Chinese wireless market where, potentially, four new 3G licences could be issued in 2005.
XAHT will distribute all of Actix' 2G, 2.5G and 3G intelligent wireless performance engineering solutions.
Actix' intelligent wireless performance engineering solutions are entirely vendor independent and enable operators to analyse raw wireless network data from a mix of network technologies, systems and data collection solutions in fine detail.
This gives an end-to-end picture of vital wireless functions and the quality of service delivery from the subscriber's perspective; it also enables engineers to 'drill down' to the root cause of any deficiencies.
Some of the operators using Actix' 3G solutions include: SKT Korea, FET Taiwan, Orange France, 3GIS, Hutchison 3G UK, Swisscom, Mobilkom, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Bell Mobility, Sprint PCS, and Qwest Wireless.
Mr Xiaobing, Chairman and CEO, Xian Haitian Antenna Technologies said: 'As a leading global telecommunications player, Actix' technology is complementary to XAHT's in assisting wireless operators in their plans deployment and management of their wireless networks'.
'Working with Actix will enable us to offer more comprehensive solutions to operators across China, through our 28 provincial offices'.
TC Tan, Actix General Manager, China, said: 'XAHT is well equipped to be Actix' exclusive distributor in China, as it has produced over 1,500,000 basestation antennas for the Chinese wireless market, and has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the performance engineering issues faced by China's wireless operators, such as network planning and optimisation'.
'Actix' partnership with XAHT will enable the more effective and direct delivery of Actix solutions into the rapidly growing wireless market in China'.
