Digital optocouplers speed past 15Mbaud
Optocouplers are ideal for a variety of industrial and consumer applications, from plasma display panels and power supplies to digital fieldbus isolation.
Avago Technologies has a new family high-speed dual-supply-voltage digital CMOS optocouplers The ACPL-071L, ACPL-074L and ACPL-M75L operate from +3.3 and +5V supply voltages at a minimum speed of 15Mbaud and support the industry's typical widest operating temperature range

Hot-pluggable transceiver for Fibre Channel
Agilent Technologies has announced volume availability of its 2Gbit/s small-form-pluggable (SFP) fibre-optic transceiver for Fibre Channel storage area networks (SANs).
These new optocouplers are ideal for a variety of industrial and consumer applications, such as plasma display panels, power supply and digital fieldbus isolation.
Supporting the industry's conventional widest temperature range of -40 to +105C, Avago's new optocouplers are built to withstand harsh industrial environments.
The ACPL-071L/M75L (single-channel) and ACPL 074L (dual-channel) digital optocouplers integrate a new feature similar to undervoltage lockout to prevent any output disruption in case of any power supply loss or recovery.
This new product family is housed in ultrasmall SO-5 and SO-8 packaging, which saves valuable PCB space.
In addition, products from the same family that meet 8mm creepage/clearance (ACPL-W70L and ACPL-K73L) will be available in second half of 2008.
ACPL-M75L also addresses low power consumption needs with a low forward current of 4mA.
The ACPL-071L, -074L and M75L are widely approved by international safety standards, such as IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2, UL1577 and CSA for Reinforced Insulation.
Devices are available now through Avago's direct sales channel and worldwide distribution.
