Agere's home solutions, consisting of the industry's most integrated SoC for this market, coupled with complete multimedia software and system solutions, are planned to be used in Samsung's home media server and gateway platforms. The home media server provides high-speed streaming throughout a home for up to eight simultaneous high definition TV (HDTV) channels.
The server also delivers up to 4Tbyte of multimedia storage capacity.
No other technology has achieved this performance level in the form factor, performance, and cost requirements for the home.
The next-generation home gateway can enable deep packet inspection as fast as 2Gbit/s - the highest performance, reliability and scalability for the rapidly growing and demanding digital home market.
Agere next-generation home gateway technology enables new services for the home such as mobile telemedia and security services.
