Solid-state reliability for position sensors
Now available from Aerco is a range of solid-state position sensors from Honeywell
Using Hall-effect position sensors the Honeywell SS series produces a digital or analogue output in either 'on' or 'off' state. There are three types of digital sensors available: bipolar, omnipolar and unipolar and these are available in a variety of sizes in moulded plastic, ceramic substrate and threaded cylindrical housings.

Push-pull connectors cut costs
Low-cost push-pull connectors are ideal for applications such as test and measurement equipment, laboratory and analytical equipment and commercial and industrial applications
They are available in 3-pin inline plastic packages for printed circuit board mounting and 3-pin plastic packages for surface-mount assembly identical to industry standard SOT-89 packages.
Environmentally protected versions are housed in aluminium or plastic housings.
Supply voltages range from 3.8 to 30V, and the Honeywell SS series offers full solid-state reliability that will suit virtually all sensor applications including: ignition timing, power sensing, valve positioning, robotics control, current sensing and flow and speed sensing.
They will be used extensively in equipment such as brushless DC motors, welding equipment, magnetic card readers, vending machines, laboratory and computer equipment and medical instrumentation.
