Adapter takes a new angle on RJ45s
A new angled adapter places an RJ45 jack at an angle to the horizontal - so that even with thicker Cat6 cables the clearance height needed within a floor box is reduced to that needed for a 13A plug.
Consolidation box brings order to network cabling
The TrueNet Mini Pod distribution and consolidation box is for Category 5e and Category 6 RJ45 structured cabling systems in enterprises, call centres, banking and retail environments.
Special cable guides are built into the cabinets and racks to ensure that cables are bend-radius managed and cannot come into contact with sharp or angular edges, even in high-density environments.
The range's integrated cable management also includes jumper rings every 3U on both sides of the cabinet/rack front face, offering additional protection.
"Conventional server and cross-connect cabinets have many potential pinch-points where heavy network cables, particularly at 10Gigabits/Category 6A, frequently force the lower cables against the cabinet metalwork".
"This can significantly affect cable impedance, to signal reflections that cause Ethernet re-transmissions and data-rate slowdown", said Andrew Roberts, Product Manager for ADC Krone.
"When located at the bottom of a cable pile, these damaged permanent links are very difficult to detect and costly to replace".
"Our innovative TrueNet cabinets and enclosures are engineered to help prevent these problems and maximise data centre uptime".
ADC Krone's TrueNet range includes: server cabinets in 42U and 47U heights with 64% perforated front and rear doors for cooling airflow and standard or cross-connect cabling cabinets with a shorter option of 27U, 42U and 47U variants.
The cabinets have 6mm toughened glass front doors and steel rear doors.
Wall enclosures are available in heights of 6U, 9U and 15U, again with a toughened glass front door.
Floor standing cabinets and racks in a variety of footprints including 800 x 800mm, 600 x 1000mm and 800 x 1000mm with 19in front and rear profiles.
