The AR-B1842 is billed as the world's first PICMG 1.3 PCI-Express half sise CPU card.

Available now from Acrosser Technology, the AR-B1842 is billed as the world's first PICMG 1.3 PCI-Express half size CPU card.

The AR-B1842 is based on the Intel Pentium-M processor.

Also included are features such as DDRII SDRAM SO-DIMM memory, a slimline cooling fan, TV-out, a programmable watchdog, AC97 stereo audio, Serial ATA and CF+ Type II.

Most importantly, Acrosser's backplane products (MB3E and MB5E) fully support PCI Express x16, PCI Express x1 and PCI, and so all these standards can be integrated in one compact system.

This also allows designers to continue to use legacy PCI devices while also benefiting from PCI Express.

PCI Express can be used for cards such as optional ATI or Nvidia high performance graphics cards.

Acrosser also guarantees that these product lines will be supported for a long period of time.

The AR-B1842 is a value-for-money RoHS-compliant platform for point of information (POI), gaming and digital display broadcast system applications.
