Elections at Accellera
Accellera has elected a new set of executive officers
Dennis Brophy, director of strategic business development at Model Technology, a Mentor Graphics company, was elected Accellera's chairman for a second term. Michael TY McNamara, senior vice president of technology, Verisity, was elected vice chairman. Shrenik Mehta, senior engineering manager, Sun Microsystems, was elected treasurer.

Karen Bartleson, director of quality and interoperability, Synopsys, was elected secretary for a second term.
Accellera is a nonprofit organisation focused on driving the development and the use of standards required by systems, semiconductor and design tools companies, which enhance a language-based EDA process.
"Accellera's work plays a pivotal role in the design of electronic circuits and systems and the adoption of new and improved electronic design methodologies", remarked Dennis Brophy, Accellera's chairman.
"I am pleased to be re-elected chairman of Accellera, the organisation that leads and sets language-based EDA standards".
Michael TY McNamara, Accellera's vice chairman added, "It is great to be part of Accellera, which is bringing together EDA suppliers, semiconductor companies and users to build powerful verification languages that enable designers to answer the question: If we build it, will it work?".
The Accellera Board includes representatives from Antrim Design Systems, Avant!, Cadence Design Systems, Co-Design Automation, Forte Design, Innoveda, Mentor Graphics, Motorola, NEC, Sun Microsystems, Synopsys and Verisity Design.
