Acal has a range of RF solutions from Taiwan-based Walsin Technology (WTC) for leading-edge applications such as Bluetooth and IEEE802.11b WLANs

The range of products includes ceramic chip antennas, filters and balun devices. The family of low-profile surface-mount embedded antennas minimises real-estate needed for Bluetooth and 802.11b WLAN applications, and offers free impedance matching, excellent radiation performance and bandwidth up to 380MHz.

Walsin has also developed antennas for 900MHz GSM and 1800/1900MHz DCS/PCS cellular systems.

A range of filters designed specifically for Bluetooth and 802.11b applications has also been announced.

The bandpass filter family is packaged in a miniature SMD (2.00 x 1.25 x 1.05mm) form-factor, offering low insertion loss of 0.7dB (typical 0.3dB at 2.4GHz), and high attenuation of 2nd and 3rd harmonics.

The lowpass filters make use of innovative 3D EM product design and a nonferrite high-frequency material to achieve low insertion loss, high common mode attenuation and minimised phase shifting.

A family of baluns completes the range, providing high phase and amplitude balance with low insertion loss in a compact surface-mount package.

The Walsin products are supported by Acal's experienced applications engineers, who have the RF and data networking expertise to provide any support required to get designs to market quickly.
