Harting distribution deal
adds up for Abacus
Abacus Group has been appointed as a UK distributor for German interconnection manufacturer Harting
The two companies have worked together since long-term Harting distributor CCS Electronics was acquired by Abacus Group in 2001. The announcement extends the relationship to the Abacus Group in the UK and Ireland. "This agreement consolidates the Abacus portfolio of standard-compliant interconnection solutions", said Graham McBeth, Managing Director of Abacus ECD.

Abacus will support the full Harting electronic connector range, inclusive of the Harting DIN41612 portfolio, 2.5mm connectors, 2mm hard metric connectors, mini coax, VME64, IDC connectors for DIN41651 flat cabling, standard and combination D-sub connectors, fibre-optic interconnects, the har-mik (SCSI) microelectronic connector system for future bus standards and the har-link I/O connector system for various computer communications, professional electronics and telecommunications applications.
