Abacus Polar has a new Technical Manager to lead its growing team of technical support staff.

Abacus Polar has a new Technical Manager to lead its growing team of technical support staff.

Neil Macmillan joins Abacus Polar to take responsibility for managing the company's team of 10 application engineers and technical support staff in the semiconductor product group.

Macmillan has more than 15 years electronics design experience.

He joins Abacus Polar from Jennic, where he worked as technical marketing manager, promoting the company's intellectual property and SoC integration for high-speed optical networking systems.

Prior to this he has held managerial positions at both 3Com and ARM.

Announcing the appointment, Martin Brooks, director of marketing, Abacus Polar, said: "Neil's industry experience and technical design abilities will enable us to increase the level of support we are able to provide to our customers as well as better focusing our existing engineering efforts.

We are delighted that he is joining us in this new position".
