Multiprotocol cards enable telecomms tester
Adax has formed a partnership with Prosser Telecom, a leader in multiprotocol telecomms test systems.
Accelero has SS7, IP and ATM functionality, a transport independent architecture and XML development interface.
It allows developers to author applications independently of the underlying communications protocol or network signalling transport, significantly reducing time to market.
The Convero signalling gateway interconnects disparate SS7 and IP networks, using standards-based architecture, communications protocol stack support, intelligent routing capabilities and SS7 point code conservation.
Both Accelero and Convero have been optimised to work over Adax HDC protocol controllers to form integrated solutions.
The HDC is a field-tested, high-density, fully channelised, multiple protocol platform and will be used to terminate SS7 MTP-2 links for higher layer processing.
It is dynamically configurable and is capable of delivering up to 124 channels of mixed protocol processing for E1 and 96 channels for T1 per card.
When used for MTP-2 processing, it can deliver 32 links per card.
The high port-density of the HDC reduces equipment footprint as well as the number of boards required in a system, which in turn minimises points of failures.
As a result, the HDC delivers high MTBF values and a high level of system reliability essential for telecom applications.
"Adax has 20 years experience of developing advanced signalling solutions for the world's leading telecom companies and IntelliNet has been delivering wireless and IN infrastructure software to application developers since 1992", commented Robin Kent, Director, European Operations, Adax Europe.
"These many years of experience have enabled the alliance to rapidly deploy exciting new applications".
"True to our commitment to broaden IntelliNet's line of hardware support, we are porting our Accelero application development library to Adax's HDC product family", said Anjan Ghosal, President and CEO of IntelliNet Technologies.
"This will allow users of Adax platforms to take advantage of the powerful features of IntelliNet's Accelero".
