COM-945GSE module adopts N270 processor

Aaeon has released a COM Express CPU module that adopts the Intel Atom processor N270.

The Intel Atom meets the demands for small, low-power embedded solutions.

The COM-945GSE meets the market trend and reveals the technology of the Intel Atom processor.

The COM-945GSE offers an onboard Intel Atom processor N270.

System memory supports DDR2 400/533 SO-DIMM, up to 2Gbit.

This model features the Intel 82945GSE graphics memory controller hub, the Intel I/O controller hub 7-M (ICH7M) and the Intel 82574L Gbit Ethernet controller for Gbit Ethernet connection.

Parallel and serial ATA interfaces are featured, giving the user flexible storage options.

The multitude of expansion interfaces allows system integrators to expand their embedded systems without buying extra devices.

Peter Yang, product manager of Aaeon's embedded computing division, said: 'At less than 8W of power consumption, the COM-945GSE meets the demand for a low power fan-less solution.

'Aaeon also offers standard feature carrier boards for proof of concept, enabling software teams to hit the ground running.' The COM-945GSE display capabilities include CRT/LCD, CRT/TV, LCD/TV simultaneous/ dual view displays.

With the 18-bit dual-channel LVDS interface, support for a wide variety of LCD panels is available.

The COM-945GSE is aimed at medical, test and measurement, military and government and security applications demanding a multi-function high-performance platform.
