‘Usart’

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release Computer-on-module targets industrial control from Ronetix, which we summarised at the time by saying "Ronetix has launched the PM9G45, a SODIMM-sized computer-on-module using Atmel's ARM926-based AT91SAM9G45 system-on-chip targeted at industrial control systems, data loggers and more.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Microcontrollers for energy-sensitive applications from Energy Micro: "Energy Micro has launched the EFM32 Giant Gecko microcontroller product family designed for energy sensitive applications with high memory requirements.".

In December 2009, we covered the news from Renesas Technology - take a look at Renesas launches H8/38606F low-power controller which says: "Renesas Technology Europe has announced the availability of the H8/38606F Super Low Power controller, designed for the next generation of low-power smart sensor applications.".

Take a look also at the news release from Atmel, Atmel releases Xplain evaluation kit for Xmega, as well as Renesas launches QVGA TFT direct drive solution from Renesas Technology Europe, and Renesas releases trimmed versions of the M16C/60 from Renesas Technology Europe.
