An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release Evaluation module eases ARM Cortex-A8 design from Mistral Software, which we summarised at the time by saying "Ideal software development and device prototyping platform for users to start immediately on their multimedia-based application device development.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Cores execute up to four instructions per cycle from ARM: "The ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore multicore processor and ARM Cortex-A9 single core processor deliver unprecedented performance within tight power constraints.".

In October 2007, we covered the news from Trango Virtual Processors - take a look at Virtual processors ease multicore design which says: "Secure virtualisation is a key enabler for the adoption of multicore architectures into embedded devices.".

Take a look also at the news release from Atmel Corporation, Low-power processor licence boosts systems on chip, as well as Automated flow speeds Cortex-A8 designs from ARM, and Renesas licenses ARM processor from ARM.
