‘Profibus’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Protocol stack enables Profinet device development from Molex, which we summarised at the time by saying "Molex has introduced the Brad IO-Device protocol development kit v2.2 for Profinet that enables OEMs to develop and market their own branded Profinet IO devices.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release UPS is suitable for IT and data applications from AEG Power Solutions: "AEG Power Solutions has launched Protect Blue, a three-phase uninterruptible power supply series designed to ensure the continuity of IT services and reduce risk of downtime caused by power outages.".
In June 2010, we covered the news from National Instruments - take a look at NI interfaces improve machine performance which says: "Interfaces for Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus and Devicenet from National Instruments make it possible for engineers to connect Labview PACs and embedded systems to their existing industrial networks.".
Take a look also at the news release from National Instruments, NI offers PXI/CompactPCI backplanes for OEMs, as well as PXI/CompactPCI backplanes provide up to 18 slots from National Instruments, and Combitac connector system expanded from Multi-Contact (UK).
