An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release PoL DC/DC converters suit data communications from Murata Power Solutions, which we summarised at the time by saying "Murata Power Solutions has introduced the OKL-T/1-W12 to its Okami series of point of load (PoL) DC/DC converters for embedded applications such as powering on-board ICs in wireless equipment.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release TI launches wide-bandwidth processors with DPD from Texas Instruments: "Texas Instruments (TI) has introduced transmit/receive processors with digital pre-distortion (DPD) for 3G and 4G wireless base stations, remote radio heads and government communication systems.".

In February 2011, we covered the news from Power Integrations - take a look at Dimmable LED driver ICs for lighting applications which says: "Power Integrations has announced seven additions to its Linkswitch-PH range of LED driver ICs optimised for industrial and commercial settings where high efficiency and system longevity are vital.".

Take a look also at the news release from National Semiconductor, Power modules suit systems without airflow, as well as Gate driver for switching in motor drive circuits from Diodes Incorporated, and New reference design for 5W offline LED driver from Power Integrations.
