Start with the news release Micro-OTDR allows installation of optical networks from Anritsu, which we summarised at the time by saying "Anritsu has launched the Network Master MT9090A Micro-OTDR for the installation and maintenance of optical networks. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Yokogawa offers PON-version OTDR from Yokogawa Europe - Test and Measurement: "The Yokogawa AQ7275 PON-OTDR is a passive optical network (PON) version of the company's AQ7275 portable, optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR). ".
In August 2008, we covered the news from Ideal Industries (UK) - take a look at OTDRs are on the (single) button for fibre tests which says: "The 33-960 Series of micro OTDRs from Ideal Industries are designed for the installation and troubleshooting of LAN, campus and WAN fibre networks.".
