Start with the news release MEMS oscillator fits fibre-channel applications from IQD Frequency Products , which we summarised at the time by saying "At Electronica 2010, IQD announced the availability of a high-frequency MEMS oscillator for applications such as fibre channel, Ethernet 10G, HDMI, SATAS and USB3. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Fox oscillators meet needs of fibre-channel apps from Fox Electronics: "Fox Electronics is offering a line of Application Specific Xpresso oscillators that are optimised for fibre-channel configurations. ".
In July 2010, we covered the news from ON Semiconductor - take a look at ON Semiconductor unveils silicon-based VCXOs which says: "ON Semiconductor has introduced a range of silicon-based voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (VCXOs) for use in networking, Sonet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, base-station and broadcasting equipment.".
