‘Ldo Regulator’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Linear introduces H-grade switching regulator from Linear Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Linear Technology has announced a H-grade step-down switching regulator for load dump and cold-crank conditions commonly found in automotive applications as well as 24V industrial supplies.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Power-management controller for standard MOSFETs from Texas Instruments: "Texas Instruments has introduced a power-management controller and driver for standard and logic-level N-channel MOSFETs used for low-voltage, secondary-side synchronous rectification. ".
In December 2010, we covered the news from Linear Technology - take a look at Compact linear regulator with thermal resistance which says: "Linear Technology has produced a wider-temperature-range version of the LT3010, a high-voltage, micropower linear regulator for avionics, military, industrial, automotive, RF and telecom applications.".
Take a look also at the news release from Linear Technology, Current mode controllers for military applications, as well as DC/DC uModule PoL regulator for RAID systems from Linear Technology, and Synchronous buck regulator for POL applications from Semtech.
