Start with the news release Photo IC for optical switching applications from Hamamatsu Photonics, which we summarised at the time by saying "Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced a photo IC that is designed for optical switches and provides an analogue waveform output, proportional to the intensity of incident pulsed light. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release MSC distributes YDS DC/DC converters from MSC Vertriebs: "MSC is now offering the 95DW-R3 series 20W DC/DC converters from YDS, which can be used in various measurement equipment and other device requiring a precisely regulated voltage. ".
 
In December 2010, we covered the news from Linear Technology - take a look at Linear introduces H-grade switching regulator which says: "Linear Technology has announced a H-grade step-down switching regulator for load dump and cold-crank conditions commonly found in automotive applications as well as 24V industrial supplies.".
