Start with the news release Mini oscillators for battery-powered applications from Saelig, which we summarised at the time by saying "Saelig has introduced four new ranges of low-voltage crystal oscillators in miniature surface-mount packages that are well suited for use in battery-powered applications.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Surface-mount OCXO suits digital signal processors from IQD Frequency Products : "IQD has launched what it claims is the world's smallest surface-mount OCXO for applications such as digital signal processors, telecommunications transmission hubs and cellular base stations.".
In November 2010, we covered the news from Euroquartz - take a look at Oscillators target battery powered applications which says: "Frequency control specialist Euroquartz has released four ranges of low-voltage crystal oscillators in miniature surface-mount packages suitable for battery powered applications.".
