‘Gsm Handset’

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release Peregrine introduces SP6T radio-frequency switch from Peregrine Semiconductor, which we summarised at the time by saying "Peregrine Semiconductor has unveiled a single-pole, six-throw (SP6T) radio-frequency (RF) switch, which offers design flexibility for manufacturers of 3G front-end modules used in multi-band handsets.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release FBAR duplexers for mobile handsets and terminals from Avago Technologies: "Avago Technologies has launched a 4G/LTE Band 7 duplexer to its line of high-isolation, 2 x 2.5mm film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) duplexers for mobile handsets and data terminals.".

In August 2010, we covered the news from Synopsys - take a look at Synopsys adds TDD mode to LTE Model Library which says: "Synopsys has announced the availability of the Time Division Duplex (TDD) mode in its Long-Term Evolution (LTE) Model Library for physical layer system simulation.".

Take a look also at the news release from Cypress Semiconductor, Truetouch used in separable mobile-phone handset, as well as Zyfilm brings touch functionality to store windows from Zytronic, and Wireless transceivers selected for RF remote from Nordic Semiconductor.
