‘Fpga Development’

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release EASA certifies avionics unit with Altera processor from Altera, which we summarised at the time by saying "The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified a safety-critical avionics system that includes a DO-254/ED-80-certifiable version of Altera's Nios II embedded processor.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release SoC ICs for cable and terrestrial set-top boxes from ST Microelectronics: "STMicroelectronics has unveied the STi7162 and STi5262, two System-on-Chip ICs allowing standard-definition (SD) or high-definition (HD) equipment to share the same printed-circuit-board (PCB) design.".

In December 2010, we covered the news from Texas Instruments - take a look at TPS54618 for DSP- and FPGA-based communications which says: "The TPS54618 provides 95-per-cent efficiency and operating current of 2.95-6V for point-of-load designs used in DSP- and FPGA-based communications, test and medical equipment. ".

Take a look also at the news release from Mistral Solutions, Development board for HMI/automotive applications, as well as FPGA-based frame grabbers for image acquisition from Stemmer Imaging, and Connector system for engine control units and more from Molex.
