‘Ethernet Switching’

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release Photo IC for optical switching applications from Hamamatsu Photonics, which we summarised at the time by saying "Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced a photo IC that is designed for optical switches and provides an analogue waveform output, proportional to the intensity of incident pulsed light. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Linear introduces H-grade switching regulator from Linear Technology: "Linear Technology has announced a H-grade step-down switching regulator for load dump and cold-crank conditions commonly found in automotive applications as well as 24V industrial supplies.".

In December 2010, we covered the news from Diodes Incorporated - take a look at Self-protected MOSFETs for automotive applications which says: "Suiting automotive and industrial applications, Diodes Incorporated's new self-protected MOSFETs are suitable for switching inductive loads, such as motors, relays and lamps at low frequencies. ".

Take a look also at the news release from ST Microelectronics, SoC ICs for cable and terrestrial set-top boxes, as well as QDR and DDR SRAMs for reducing power consumption from Cypress Semiconductor, and Ocean Blue SoCs suited for connected TV products from Ocean Blue.
