We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Ethernet switches", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release Gigabit switches enable VME development from GE Fanuc Embedded Systems, which we summarised at the time by saying "The rugged GBX24 is designed to meet the demanding requirements of network switching in harsh military/aerospace environments". Earlier in the week, we featured the news release Gigabit Ethernet switches run at wire speed. from GE Fanuc Embedded Systems: "The NETernity CP982RC, which has an onboard management processor, is characterised by its support of GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms' OpenWare Lite Switch Management Environment".

In June 2007, we covered the news from EZchip Technologies concerning its NP-4 - take a look at Processor promises all line-card functions in one which says: "Network processor aims to offer system vendors a significant cost reduction by integrating all the key components of their line card into a single chip".

Take a look also at the news release from Agilent Technologies Europe, Switches and routers checked for compliance, as well as Controllers boost power density over Ethernet from Broadcom Corp, and Six-port switch provides wired link from Atheros Communications.
