‘Docsis’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Maxim develops Docsis 3.0 upstream amplifier from Maxim Integrated Products, which we summarised at the time by saying "Maxim Integrated Products has introduced the MAX3518, a Docsis 3.0 upstream amplifier that combines very low power consumption with optimal distortion performance. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Maxim releases MAX2051 SiGe passive mixer from Maxim Integrated Products: "Maxim Integrated Products' MAX2051 is a high-performance 815 to 1550MHz SiGe passive mixer.".
In August 2008, we covered the news from Freescale Semiconductor - take a look at SoC cuts the cost of GPON deployment which says: "Data path engine and Power Architecture technologies combine to provide high data forwarding throughput rates for the delivery of video and data broadband content.".
Take a look also at the news release from Anadigics, Amplifier supports faster Docsis datarates, as well as Power amp drives cables to new standards from RF Micro Devices, and Cable box chipset unifies MPEG-TS and IP services from Texas Instruments (April 2006-).
