‘Cmos Image Sensor’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Photo IC for optical switching applications from Hamamatsu Photonics, which we summarised at the time by saying "Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced a photo IC that is designed for optical switches and provides an analogue waveform output, proportional to the intensity of incident pulsed light. ". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release CMOS image sensor put inside digital film camera from Cypress Semiconductor: "Cypress Semiconductor's CMOS image sensor has been designed into the 35mm Alexa digital motion-picture camera from ARRI, used to produce films including 3D movies and commercial shoots.".
In December 2010, we covered the news from Osram Opto Semiconductors - take a look at Single-chip LED with green phosphor converter which says: "Osram Opto Semiconductors has developed a pre-production green LED based on the Ostar platform that is twice as bright as its predecessors, for use in data projectors in office or education markets.".
Take a look also at the news release from Kontron, System host board for energy and medical sectors, as well as Sensor IC withstands harsh automotive environments from Allegro Microsystems, and FPGA-based frame grabbers for image acquisition from Stemmer Imaging.
