‘Cellular Phones’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Gain blocks for cellular bands GSM, CDMA and UMTS from Avago Technologies, which we summarised at the time by saying "Avago Technologies has expanded its high-performance power amplifier range with the MGA-31589 and MGA-31689 0.5-watt gain blocks, suitable for cellular infrastructure applications.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release PLDs for low-power consumer design applications from Avnet Memec: "Avnet Memec is offering Lattice Semiconductor's MachXO2T programmable logic devices (PLDs), which offer low-density PLD designers low cost, low power and high system integration in a single device.".
In December 2010, we covered the news from XP Power - take a look at AC/DC power supplies suit harsh environments which says: "XP Power has unveiled the ECC100 series 100W single-output, baseplate-cooled AC/DC power supplies targeted at outdoor applications such as wireless communications, lighting and information displays.".
Take a look also at the news release from Diodes Incorporated, CMOS logic devices suited for mobile phones, as well as Bridge chip range for USB/(HID)-USB connectivity from Silicon Laboratories, and Hall-sensor IC for low power HMI applications from Austriamicrosystems.
