‘Cellular Infrastructure’
An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Gain blocks for cellular bands GSM, CDMA and UMTS from Avago Technologies, which we summarised at the time by saying "Avago Technologies has expanded its high-performance power amplifier range with the MGA-31589 and MGA-31689 0.5-watt gain blocks, suitable for cellular infrastructure applications.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release VGA for wireless infrastructure transceivers from Maxim Integrated Products: "Maxim Integrated Products has introduced the MAX2062, a fully programmable, multistate, dual-channel, analogue and digital IF/RF variable-gain amplifier suitable for automatic gain control circuits.".
In December 2010, we covered the news from Avnet Memec - take a look at PLDs for low-power consumer design applications which says: "Avnet Memec is offering Lattice Semiconductor's MachXO2T programmable logic devices (PLDs), which offer low-density PLD designers low cost, low power and high system integration in a single device.".
Take a look also at the news release from XP Power, AC/DC power supplies suit harsh environments, as well as Chip filters optimise performance of mobile phones from Taiyo Yuden, and RMS detector can be used in rugged environments from Linear Technology.
