An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Linear introduces H-grade switching regulator from Linear Technology, which we summarised at the time by saying "Linear Technology has announced a H-grade step-down switching regulator for load dump and cold-crank conditions commonly found in automotive applications as well as 24V industrial supplies.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release RS Components launches power supply microsite from RS Components: "RS Components is boosting its support for designers of power applications with the introduction of 960 power supply products brought together on a dedicated microsite. ".
In December 2010, we covered the news from International Rectifier - take a look at International Rectifier offers automotive MOSFETs which says: "International Rectifier has expanded its offering of 40 to 100V automotive-qualified MOSFETs, including a range of logic level devices. ".
Take a look also at the news release from Altera, EASA certifies avionics unit with Altera processor, as well as Self-protected MOSFETs for automotive applications from Diodes Incorporated, and SoC ICs for cable and terrestrial set-top boxes from ST Microelectronics.
