An Electronicstalk guide
Start with the news release Fujitsu introduces USB 3.0 to SATA bridge IC from Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe GmbH, which we summarised at the time by saying "Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) has released a USB 3.0 to SATA bridge IC, which supports the ultra-fast 5Gbps maximum data transfer rate of Superspeed USB, the USB 3.0 specification.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release Compact SBC stands alone from BVM: "High-performance 5.25in form factor module has impressive onboard I/O, enabling direct interface with all peripherals without the need for additional hardware. ".
In March 2008, we covered the news from QuickLogic - take a look at Block speeds data transfers to mass storage which says: "The UDMA Proven System Block adds to QuickLogic's suite of hard disk drive (HDD) interface blocks for the company's CSSP platforms.".
Take a look also at the news release from Horizon Semiconductors, SoC supports both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray codes, as well as Processor claims graphical superiority from Renesas Technology Europe, and FPGAs suit portable applications from Actel Europe.
