‘Asic Devices’

An Electronicstalk guide

Start with the news release Monitoring system features Nordic transceivers from Nordic Semiconductor, which we summarised at the time by saying "Nordic Semiconductor has announced that Spantec has developed a fully comprehensive ANT+ telemedical remote monitoring system using Nordic nRF24AP2 eight-channel 2.4GHz ANT transceivers.". Several months prior to that, we featured the news release International Rectifier offers automotive MOSFETs from International Rectifier: "International Rectifier has expanded its offering of 40 to 100V automotive-qualified MOSFETs, including a range of logic level devices. ".

In December 2010, we covered the news from Altera - take a look at EASA certifies avionics unit with Altera processor which says: "The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified a safety-critical avionics system that includes a DO-254/ED-80-certifiable version of Altera's Nios II embedded processor.".

Take a look also at the news release from Diodes Incorporated, Self-protected MOSFETs for automotive applications, as well as SoC ICs for cable and terrestrial set-top boxes from ST Microelectronics, and Ultra-miniaturised wafer-level chip scale packages from Nordic Semiconductor.
