Zytronic has appointed Adrian Leyland as its new Production Manager to support rapid sales growth for the company's internationally award-winning projected capacitive technology touch sensors
Zytronic has appointed Adrian Leyland as its new Production Manager to support and ensure ongoing production and delivery during rapid sales growth for the company's internationally award-winning projected capacitive technology (PCT) touch sensors. Leyland brings with him almost 15 years of experience to this new role in engineering, manufacturing and operations management.

Prior to joining Zytronic, Leyland (41) was at Europa Magnetics Corporation having joined the company in 1998 as Production Manager.
In this position, he had overall responsibility of the operational and financial performance of two manufacturing facilities - a high volume 24/7 floppy disk facility producing 15 million disks a month, the other, a make to order dayshift CD-R printing and packing facility, producing approximately 1 million disks a month.
In 2002, he became Manufacturing and Operations Manager at the company, responsible for the operational and financial performance of production and strategy for production, engineering and quality functions.

Leyland has also held the positions of Customer Support Section Head and Production Line Manager at Philips Components, and Manufacturing Engineer at TRW Transportation and Electronics.
Commenting on his appointment Mark Cambridge, Zytronic's Managing Director says: 'Adrian brings a wealth of experience to our team in manufacturing and operations which, as we continue to expand our business on a global basis, will be very important to us'.

Leyland gained a BEng (Hons) in computer aided engineering and a postgraduate diploma in management studies (DMS) at Staffordshire University.
