Morrison to enhance strategic focus
Zytronic has appointed Dr Andrew Morrison to the position of Technical Director, to enhance its strategic focus on developing advanced solutions for touchscreen markets worldwide
Zytronic has appointed Dr Andrew Morrison, BEng (Hons), PhD, MIEE, MIEEE, to the position of Technical Director, to enhance its strategic focus on developing advanced solutions for touchscreen markets worldwide. In his new role, Dr Morrison will identify and develop current and future touchscreen enabling technologies, including Zytronic's advanced projected capacitive sensing (PCT), which delivers important performance advantages in Zytronic's target markets.

Prior to being appointed as Technical Director, Dr Morrison worked with LG Philips Displays until joining Zytronic in 2002 as Technical Manager.
He graduated in electrical and electronic engineering with first class honours, and also received his doctorate, from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
Congratulating Dr Morrison on his new position, Mark Cambridge, Sales and Marketing Director, Zytronic, says: 'Andrew's engineering insights have advanced Zytronic's technological leadership in high-growth touchscreen applications, and I am delighted that he has now become our Technical Director'.

Zytronic is a developer of projected capacitive technology (PCT)-based touchscreens that are resistant to accidental damage and vandalism, do not drift in operation, consume low power, and meet the cost and performance requirements of markets including point of sale, forecourt self-service, public information systems, security and banking.
