The Wind River Developer Network is a community designed to offer educational resources, worldwide conferences and tools specifically for developers of embedded systems

The Wind River Developer Network aggregates Wind River's 20 years of embedded development expertise to provide the developer community with an organised resource for the best and most reliable information and technology in embedded development. In addition to illustrating Wind River's commitment to the embedded development community through a formal network, Wind River will sponsor developer conferences around the world during the autumn timeframe.

These conferences provide a forum where embedded developers and technical decision makers can come together to learn about Wind River's corporate and product strategy, partnerships as well as key technology and business trends.

In addition, keynote speakers will address industry issues and developers can participate in technical workshops.

"With the introduction of the Wind River Developer Network, we are bolstering our commitment to the developer community by providing the tools and resources they need to be successful", said Jerry Fiddler, founder and Chairman of Wind River Systems.

"Wind River's website has long been considered a resource for developers, and it regularly logs two to four times the number of page views per month than the leading embedded development online news sites.

Therefore, we wanted to increase our value even further with a formal developer network programme".

By joining the Wind River Developer Network, embedded developers will have access to: worldwide developer conferences; white papers and technical articles; evaluation software; online technical chats with other developers; technical web casts presented by experts; technical presentations; user groups; a feedback forum; and a graduate and embedded developer resume database.

Wind River customers will also have exclusive access to: board support package resources; architecture previews; "sneak peak" product roadmap reviews; online support; and training.

The Wind River Developer Network is free of charge to all developers and will go live to the developer community in June.
