According to Vitec Multimedia, TwinPEG Pro is currently the most advanced and complete solution for video professionals, supporting digital SDI as well as analogue YUV inputs, in 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 profiles, transport and program streams. TwinPEG Pro is an advanced encoder with innovative features like still picture capture (BMP) while encoding MPEG and dual encoding.
TwinPEG Pro is able to generate two MPEG files from a unique video source, for instance MPEG-1 low bitrate SIF and MPEG-2 high quality FD1 in 4:2:2 format or MPEG-4 ASP in SIF and MPEG-2 in 4:2:2.
Other features include: the ability to preview on the graphic card while encoding or capturing; an audio meter overlaid on preview window; video and audio pass-through for an external monitor; a pause/resume mode; and VTR control.
Inputs are provided for: digital video SDI; digital audio AES/EBU; analogue YUV components, S-Video and composite; and analogue balanced audio.
Outputs are available as: digital video SDI; digital audio AES/EBU; analogue S-Video; and analogue unbalanced audio.
