Interface brings harmony
to microwave software
Vector Fields and AWR have completed the integration of Concerto software into AWR's Microwave Office circuit design platform
The link will allow users of Microwave Office to obtain accurate FDTD calculations of component S-parameters and radiation patterns simply by calling Concerto from within the office environment. James Spoto, AWR president and CEO said: 'Vector Fields' Concerto is used by designers worldwide for fast and accurate computation of electromagnetic fields and is especially suited to RF and microwave design'.

'We are pleased to have Concerto available through AWR's open and innovative EM Socket technology as a new EM analysis option to Microwave Office customers'.
Kevin Ward, Vector Fields Managing Director said: 'Through AWRs' EM Socket interface we have easily and seamlessly integrated our best-in-class 3D modelling software directly into the AWR design platform'.
'Designers are now able to originate their circuit in the Microwave Office environment and interact with the Concerto EM simulator from a single user interface'.
'This integrated solution will help our joint customers create and analyse designs, for such as patch, slot, wire and horn antennas, waveguides, couplers, filters etc faster and more accurately'.
For example, a design such as a 4GHz interdigital filter within Microwave Office 2006 and the S-parameter, can be displayed by Concerto by a simple mouse click from within the Office suite.
The AWR/Vector Fields interface will be available without charge to all customers using both Concerto v6 and Microwave Office 2006 software.
