A 64bit Linux version of Opera is now available from Vector Fields, both to new customers and as an upgrade to existing customers

The release of a Linux version of Opera recognises the fact that Linux is becoming increasingly popular. The Linux version of the Opera suite is based on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 system, and software licensing is carried out using FlexLm. The move to 64bit processing on a PC platform significantly enhances the capability of Opera.

Already one of the fastest analysis packages for electromagnetic design, 64bit processing effectively removes any software limitations on the use of computer memory allowing very large models to be run quickly and efficiently.
