Flying probe capability added to ultra test

Ultra Electronics Manufacturing Services have recently invested in an on-site flying probe test capability.

Ultra Electronics Manufacturing Services have recently invested in an on-site Flying Probe Test capability. Brian Green, Ultra CEMS Test Manager commented, "We have had a flying probe test capability within the Ultra group for sometime which has complimented our significant ATE and Functional test resources. However, we have now decided to invest in our own capability as a result of the growing number of clients who need this type of service because of their product applications and volumes.

We carried out a full review of all the market place and decided upon a Seica Pilot S40 LX machine because of its 24" x 24" test area, full test suite including MDA, In-circuit, Functional, Vectorless, Boundary Scan and Optical capabilities.

We intend to carry out the programming in house so the user friendliness was also a critical part of our selection criteria."
