Tyco Electronics has launched a new range of miniature heat-shrinkable moulded shapes designed to fit small circular connectors and provide effective protection and strain relief. Manufactured in a choice of materials, with the option of an adhesive lining for environmental sealing, these shapes are compatible with the requirements of a wide range of applications in the commercial, industrial, autosport and communications markets. The new miniature moulded parts have a wide operating temperature range from -55C to +200C and are installed by heat-shrinking over leads and connectors to apply permanent strain relief to wires down to 2.1mm diameter.

They are lightweight, yet rugged, and provide durable high integrity protection in applications as diverse as audio equipment connectors and the AS style connectors used in autosport.
