Raychem HFT 5000 is a new development in heatshrinkable fabric tubing, from Tyco Electronic's Cable ID and Protection Products Group Designed for the bundling and protection of cables, pipes and hoses, it features low shrink temperature characteristics to reduce installation time and enable the benefits of fabric tubing protection to be available and applied even to heat sensitive materials

The heatshrinkable HFT 5000 fabric is a tough, very flexible, halogen-free, high performance composite material that provides effective mechanical protection.
It is self fixing, will not creep and needs only to be installed at the point of threat, where it offers high protection against abrasion and cut-through.
The fabric's woven construction gives flexibility, high conformability and will not stiffen the substrate or trap moisture.
Designed for the mechanical abrasion protection of components such as rubber hoses, plastic pipes and harness wiring bundles it provides the optimum solution for a wide range of industrial applications, including fluid/air management systems, and is capable of meeting the demands of high volume automated and robotics manufacturing processes.
Heatshrinkable fabric tubing is widely specified in the automotive industry for harness and hose protection.
The additional benefits of lower shrink temperature and reduced shrinking time offered by the new Raychem HFT 5000 increase the application opportunities.
HFT 5000 is available in a range of standard sizes to fit substrates from 6mm to 70mm and, due to its high expansion ratios, each size of tubing can accommodate a wide range of dimensions.
