Tyco Electronics' Global Application Tooling Division (GATD) has signed a distribution agreement with Phoenix Aviation and Technology (PAT), a UK-based manufacturer of advanced cable testing equipment. The agreement covers PAT's unique automatic real-time cable monitoring system (ARCMAS) and its advanced range of portable and embedded monitoring devices for the military and commercial aerospace sector. Signed in May 2005, the agreement enables Tyco Electronics to market, sell and distribute Phoenix Aviation's full range of cable testing equipment throughout Europe, North America and Asia.
This partnership already forms a second step in forcefully developing Tyco Electronics' presence within the aerospace sector, following the successful co-operation with MK Test for automatic high voltage test systems.
Tyco Electronics now is able to offer the comprehensive range of test equipment from front line diagnostics through to automatic test equipment for OEMs.
With instant access to Tyco Electronics' highly structured and globally positioned sales force, PAT will also greatly benefit from the agreement.
Werner Lothmann, Tyco Electronics GATD's Head of Marketing EMEA and India, commented: 'Phoenix Aviation and Technology is an extremely experienced manufacturer of electrical test systems for aerospace applications'.
'Their handheld units focus on comprehensive fault finding diagnostics combined with an outstanding ease of operation, exactly what MK Test stands for in high voltage testing'.
'Customers understand that they can save a lot of money by making their test environment flexible, easy to use and reliable'.
'Our goal therefore is to offer in each segment the most sophisticated and economic solution available on the market'.
PAT's CEO and Technical Director, Glenn Lacey added: 'Tyco Electronics is acknowledged as a world leader in the electronics industry and the opportunity to form an association with the company is very significant for us'.
'Its position at the forefront of the electronics sector will provide us with a valuable route to market and an extremely powerful platform for developing sales globally'. Request free introductory details about products from Tyco Electronics - Global Application Tooling....
