Tyco Electronics has added the CU series to its collection of Corcom power-entry modules.

The new series includes smaller versions of switched filtered and unfiltered power inlets, which are suitable for applications with panel space constraints, particularly systems designed for the 1U (1 3/4in) height equipment racks.

Tyco Electronics has added the CU series to its range of Corcom power entry modules.

The CU series offers 15 filtered and eight unfiltered versions to cover a variety of applications.

Shrouded quick-connect terminals eliminate the need for soldered connections, which helps reduce installation time.

The series allows higher system efficiency by contributing less heat, making it suitable for applications with power or cooling limitations.

The modules offer three different mounting styles: flush-mount, flange and snap-in.

Current ratings range from 1-15A and the product is UL recognised, CSA certified and VDE approved.

The 15A versions tested by Underwriters Laboratories to US and Canadian standards are VDE approved for a 10A rating.

The CU series power entry modules are suitable for consumer and computer electronics, telecommunications, data communications and compact industrial applications.
