The Triad circular connector brand is now available from Tyco Electronics following the recent acquisition of the Electronics Division of Thomas and Betts

Triad covers a broad range of needs with three distinct ranges, namely Triad 01, 10 and 20. A variety of accessories and tools are also offered. A subminiature circular connector system, Triad 01 is ideal for applications that require shielding. The range includes panel mounting versions, cable mount plugs, cable assemblies with overmoulded connectors, CAN-bus and MOD-BUS components and dust caps.

Suitable for hostile environments, the connector system is liquid and dust-tight to IP65 protection class.

Triad 10 circular plastic connectors offer reductions in installed cost and weight, for applications where the traditional metal shell is not required.

Features include a modified ACME thread that provides and anti-vibration lock, assisted coupling and decoupling, gold or tin plate finishes, and either pin or socket contacts.

Triad 10 encompasses plugs, cable receptacles, panel mount receptacles, and accessories.

For applications requiring the traditional metal shell, Triad 20 circular metal shell connectors include plugs, cable receptacles, panel mount receptacles, and conduit adapters.

Pin or socket contacts with gold or tin finishes are offered and an ACME thread provides an antivibration lock.

A unique keying feature between the metal shell and thermoplastic insert expands the number of available contact configurations.
