A live Analog eLab webcast will address analogue circuit design issues that affect performance of digital media-based video applications

Texas Instruments and Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas will present a live Analog eLab webcast for designers entitled 'Analogue support for digital media-based systems' on Wednesday 14th June 2006 at 1700 BST. During the online discussion, TI analogue expert Bill Klein, PE, and eLab panelists JB Fowler of TI and Mike Claassen of Avnet will address analogue circuit design issues that affect performance of digital media-based video applications.

Webcast panelists will provide an overview of the extensive analogue circuit support required for digital media-based systems for video applications.

Their discussion will focus on support functions that include video input and output in analogue and digital form as well as audio input and output.

They will also discuss clocking solutions and power management.

Even in powerful digital media applications, system quality can be severely compromised if any of these support functions corrupt the data.

The panelists will share their expert commentary on the ramifications of designs that do not meet the required precision.

During the lab segment, Klein and Fowler will demonstrate critical support elements using the digital video evaluation module (DVEVM) based on DaVinci technology.

This board enables developers to start immediate evaluation of DaVinci-based processors and begin developing digital video applications.
